A hat and dress pair based on a pattern from the 1940s

The dress was draped from a vintage 1940s image and constructed with a soft red cotton blend. Poly satin was used for the accent bow. The front is one piece, from the neck to the skirt hem, with tucks to shape the waistline. The bow piece connects at each front princess seam, with a side zipper closure. Ribbon flowers decorate the V-shaped neckline.

The matching babydoll hat is handmade from an original pattern, with buckram and wire for the base and a fabric covering to match the dress. Poly satin lines the interior, providing comfort and protection for the hair. Finally, hand-crafted ribbon flowers and a satin band embellish the outside.
