The checkered blue dress was created for a production of God of Vengeance at Rutgers University, designed by Medeline Stavast. It was patterned from a vintage picture and assembled in a soft blue checkered cotton blend. The collared neck was given a white inset, hand-stitched inside for invisible attachment. The trim was made from a combination of two trims, layered and sewn together. The belt was made by adding the layered trim to a wide lilac piece and attaching it with loops on each side. Finally, pockets were added on each side of the front for functionality and aesthetic.
